Spanish III

Objectives

To strengthen students’ competence by competence by providing on going opportunities for oral practice in realistic contexts that lend themselves to communication strategies. By the end of this course students should be able to converse with simple tenses about the past present and future. They should be able to use several compound tenses and use the subjunctive mood while speaking in the present and past tenses.

The target for this class is 100% use of Spanish by the teachers and students.

To exam student’s knowledge of the culture of Spanish speaking countries. All reading and discussion of culture should occur in Spanish.

To improve reading, writing, speaking and listening skills. Each of these is to be done in contexts that are as close to real life-as possible.

Assessment: grading is based on a combination of daily assignments, participation in activities, quizzes, tests, essays and projects.
