Syllabus Spanish IV

Objectives

  •  To strengthen students’ communicative competency by providing ongoing opportunities for oral practice in realistic contexts that lend themselves to sophisticated discourse strategies.
  •  To broaden students’ knowledge of the geography of the Hispanic World and increase their familiarity with the contemporary Hispanic world.
  •  To develop listening comprehension skills by exposing students to natural language as spoken by native speakers from a variety of Hispanic countries in real-life contexts.
  • To improve writing skills by providing ongoing practice in contexts that reinforce the vocabulary and grammatical structures taught (listed in the objectives below.)

Texts: Avancemos 4, Continuemos, Abriendo Paso Lecturas and Spanish Four Years (Grammar -Extra practices).

Assessment: Grading is base on a combination of daily assignments, participation, Quizzes, Tests and projects.
